@bigmoneykilla Get a 400w Metal Halide ($250 range).they also have 150 w mh which would be around $120 for the whole setup. MH works well for both cycles & it produces some good bud. Then sell your 1st haul & then buy a hps. You can then set up a sea of green method which means every 2 weeks you start to flower plants that you have grown under your mh. The hardest part is leaving how to clone successfully but after a few attempts you’ll have it down pat. google sea of green. It the best way.

@joshua22469 led’s come in 2 ,3 & 4 band. The 2 band has red & blue light. The blue is for veg & red is for budding. I have a 3 band which has orange added & I’ve used it for all cycles. ppl like to bash led’s but they definitely have their advantages, like no heat & low power consumption, not to mention much less of a fire threat compared to hid w/ ballast.

Hi, great appreciation for the light descriptions…. However, I have 2 follow up questions? You never discussed the advantages/disadvantages of the “dual-arc” grow lights, or the possible use of t5 ho flourescents (in replacement for a MH bulb in veg?) Your ideas would be appreciated?

@CHOWDER39 its best to use a 400 watt hp/high pressure bulb for a 4ft by 4 area thats enough for about 6 to 12 plants it normanly runs around 20 to 30 dallors price wise a normal household bulb doesnt contain enough heat to produce a healthy weed plant.
