Photography Poses and Other Cool Stuff

I have a strong (according to my boyfriend odd) passion for weddings and wedding photography. Im a student currently enrolled at UIC majoring in photo. I feel like I am doing something wrong. Help?! I want to know how you made your dream come true. How you make others dreams last forever.

Did you go to a University or strictly arts college?
I don’t think my school has a required internship time, do I find one on my own? Do I wait until I graduate?
How do I focus on what I love (not just wedding but all types of portraits) outside of school time?
Should I try to find a job with a studio doing simple things so I can be in the environment? Is that even possible?

Anything else important. Please let me know.
