I payed $900.00 dollars for mines. and He was so prompt. I really like the pictures and they were just like I want them.

Ours didn’t cost a penny – what a rip off ! Why don’t you get lots of people to take digital photographs, download them all so you can chose the best ones to print and mount in an album that you can buy in any good depatment store. Good luck. Marriage seems to be so meaningless to most people, it’s all about show and money not love, love, love.

my sister paid $300 for hers. they turned out great but when he tried to enlarge them they got messed up. he wasnt going to give her the negatives but he finally did after he ruined the enlargments. i think he was just starting off. thats probably why they were so cheap

our photographer for our wedding 2 years ago was around $250 just for him to take the pictures. the developing fees were about another $50, he gave us the proofs to choose from, but we didn't order any cause his photography sucked. luckily my brother got some really great shots with my digital. if we HAD ordered pics from him it would have been about another $200. i just wasn't willing to pay him anything else for the crappy pics he took!

i’m a wedding photographer that has just started out 6 months ago. I’ve done 4 weddings so far. I only charge $600. This includes: engagement session with proofs and negatives.
Wedding day photos: Prewedding photos, ceremony, formal wedding pictures, candids, reception. I stay until I have taken all the pictures the bride and groom want. I have them do a check off list so I know what is important to them. They get all of the photos(200-250 proofs) in an album and the negatives. Eventually I will have them buy the packages through me but I want to get my foot in the door first. Every wedding I have taken pictures of the couple has been extremely happy and tells me I don’t charge enough. It’s a nice compliment to someone just starting off. Good luck to you and your fiance.

I got married in 1993 and spent $1500 on photography. This included our album, one 11×14, a couple of single prints, and 2 parent’s folios (not albums). You should hire the best photographer you can afford, this is the only permanent part of your wedding.

We paid $2500 for five hours – the photographer that we chose charges about $4000 for the full day.

He used a "photojournalistic" style, so there was more emphasis on capturing the natural action of the day than on specific poses, although we did get 10 still pictures along with the package.

Our package included prints, and a DVD with the digital images on it. You should definitely either get copies of the digital images, or the negatives of your photos, so that you can print extra as needed.

While the cost of our photog was high it was SUPREMELY worth it – I am the least photogenic person i know, and he made even me look good. The wedding photos are probably the most important part of the wedding – they will capture forever action that you might miss in the excitement of being involved in the day.

My husband and I went a more cost effective route. We bought some disposable cameras and put them on selected tables and our guest took our pictures. It made it seem to us that those photos would mean more if they came from family and friends.

I think mine was like $1500. I got all the proofs, a wedding album, and a 11 x 14. We had coverage before the ceremony, during and after the ceremony, we took pictures in the park by the lake, and pictures at the reception. We also had a video person (which I thoroughly suggest) for the ceremony.
It was definitely worth it. It was the aspect of my wedding that I didn’t mind paying for. I was definitely satisfied.

You get what you pay for. I’ve had relatives have their wedding photography on the cheap and have regretted it.

Mine is going to cost me $1500. It includes:
-one photographer… with a digtial camera
-An enagement sesstion (Photos ordered are extra)
-wedding photos taken before and during cermony, and photos at the reception for 2 hours
-A CD containing all photos from wedding that I can take anywhere to print (A major plus!!!!)
-300 proffs in a album
-$300 worth of professional wedding photos, printed in sizes I select

Photographers always charge seprately for Albums and any enlargement of pictures of collages, I’ve heard that Hakim sons in Texas is good i dont know where you are if you want here is the website for them you can contact them.

Get it all in writing. USuslly the photos are a package deal or you pay per photo including copies for relatives. This can get pricey.

Another idea is to have some relatives ALSO take photos with decent cameras ( not throw aways like people put on the table, then you usually get silly things like photos of womens breasts and the floor)
Have them take photos of you and the wedding party.
It is nice to have a profesional do a few group shots

My photographer cost $900, and that included a wedding album with 80 proofs(4"x6"), and one 8"x10". And yes, she was worth it, she was great! Plus, thats a cheap one, most are over $1000

phone around…the price differences vary alot…ask for references and ask to see other videos they have produced…photographers talk a good line…they are sales people bascially…..so many brides are disappointed with the results…

Mmm, I’m also trying to find a good photographer. Seems the average is about $1,500, which seems a little steep for our budget.

But the photos will have to last a life-time and I want to be sure they’re good quality.
